Pink Floyd
1965 — 2014
Pink Floyd was born in London in 1965, founded by Syd Barrett, Roger Waters, Nick Mason, and Richard Wright. They began as a pioneering psychedelic band and evolved into the most ambitious progressive rock in history. Following Barrett's departure, David Gilmour joined the group and together they created masterpieces such as The Dark Side of the Moon, an album that remained on the Billboard charts for over fourteen years. With Wish You Were Here, Animals, and The Wall, they explored alienation, politics, and madness. Their discography is a lesson in sonic evolution, from psychedelic experiments to the most elaborate rock operas.
