HiFi Café was always conceived as a platform open to all people passionate about music and audio, wherever they may be. The internet has something extraordinary: the ability to reach any home, any person on the planet.
Over time, one thing became increasingly clear to me: what we are building here is not only unique in the Spanish-speaking world. Something like this doesn't exist in other languages either. There aren't many places on the internet where the conversation about Hi-Fi, music, and listening is built from the community in this way. And that led me to a question that has been on my mind for months.
If the internet allows us to reach everyone… why limit the conversation to a single language?
Something began to happen naturally within the community itself. People started writing in their native languages. People living their passion exactly in the language in which they think, listen, and feel. And when I read those messages, I always thought the same thing: language should not be a barrier to sharing something as universal as music.
So I started working on something specific: "I want you to be able to write in your language and for whoever reads you to do so in theirs." And to leverage artificial intelligence to work invisibly, so that this happens without bothering the user.
This is now a reality!
In the top menu, you will find a language selector. From there, you can choose the interface language and decide if you want the content to be automatically translated. Those who want to experience the platform in Spanish, English, or Catalan can do so. And those who prefer the natural chaos of a community where languages coexist, can too. Now both options exist.
It's an ambitious system, and it's possible that imperfections may appear in the first few days. If you detect anything strange, please report it — it will help us improve it.
But what really excites me is not the technology itself. It's what it makes possible: that a community that was already breaking down barriers can now truly do so. People from different cultures, speaking different languages, building bridges through something as simple and as powerful as music.
Without barriers.
